The new dojo of Nihonto dojo in Varna brought together karatekas from eight clubs for a 10th kyu grading exam – the first technical grade in Kyokushin karate.
The first grading exam is a special moment for everyone who has chosen the path of Kyokushin. It is not only a test of the knowledge and skills they have acquired but also their first serious challenge in discipline, concentration, and fighting spirit.
The exam took place at the new dojo of Nihonto Karate Club in Varna, led by Sensei Zahari Damyanov, and brought together representatives from eight clubs: Nihonto, Zanshin, Split, and SENSHI Gym – Varna; Bushin – Ruse; Seiken and Nukite – Dobrich; and Dodojo – Silistra.
The candidates for their first technical grade demonstrated what they had learned during training, showing basic techniques, coordination, concentration, and a commitment to performing every movement correctly. Alongside their technical skills, they were also expected to demonstrate some of the most important qualities in Kyokushin karate – respect, discipline, perseverance, and strong spirit.
The 10th kyu is just the beginning of a long journey in Kyokushin karate. Many more training sessions, new skills, and challenges lie ahead for each candidate. However, the first grading exam remains one of the most memorable moments in every karateka’s development.
The Bulgarian Karate Kyokushin Federation (BKKF) congratulates all participants on their hard work and dedication, as well as their instructors for their commitment and efforts in preparing them.
The first step has been taken. The journey of continuous improvement lies ahead.
Osu!
