On October 24, 2026, Sofia Sports Hall hosted the National Kyokushin Karate Cup for children under 8 and under 10 years old. The competition brought together 80 young karateka from 19 clubs affiliated with the Bulgarian Karate Kyokushin Federation (BKKF).
The young competitors demonstrated their skills, good preparation, and strong fighting spirit. The matches were filled with excitement, competitive bouts, and determination to win.
For the youngest karateka, participating in such competitions is an important step in their development as athletes. Besides the opportunity to test their skills against opponents of their own age, they gain valuable competitive experience and learn discipline, respect for their opponents, and how to overcome challenges.
As is tradition, special awards were presented for Best Technique and Fighting Spirit.
