On the 21.06.2015 in the town of Novi Pazar, sports complex “Hristo Botev”, we saw the National Cup “Oyama” for children between 8 and 10 years old, men and women, national team – kumite.

The contest was attended by 102 competitors from 14 clubs in 23 categories.

After many spectacular and highly contested battles some karateka came through to bring the medals for their club as follows: club “Gladiator”, Burgas – 4 gold, 7 silver and 2 bronze medals; club “Nadezhda”, Gabrovo – 2 gold and 6 silver medals; club “Ipon”, Ruse – 1 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze medals.

The karateka that stood out with their performance were given special awards as well: the best technique prize went to Boyan Vasilev from “Nadezhda” and Katerina Stoeva from “Gladiator”; the “fighting spirit prize” was well deserved by Elena Dimitrova from “Bushi-do”, Chernomotrets and Dimitar Vasilev from “Gladiator”; the best referee at this tournament was Rositsa Petrova.

The team champion and holder of the highest prize at this tournament, namely the “Oyama” Cup, was SC “Gladiator”, Burgas.

Tournament’s chief referee was Nikolay Rachev and the secretary was Prolet Vasileva. All matches were under the supervision of 15 referees total.
