May 16th and 17th 2015 – those are the dates for the KWF European Championship of Kyokushin Karate in Estonia for junior male and female, men and women – kumite.
After spectacular battles our karateka grabbed well deserved medals and titles.
The first day of the competition our junior men and women got seven European titles, four silver and one bronze medals. An excellent display by our lions – the champions are: Valeria Lozanova, Ivan Popov, Kristian Stankov, Sara Ivanova, Lyubomira Nikolova, Gabriela Mircheva and Ivaylo Marinov; vice-champions: Monika Dimitrova, Aleks Valev, Vasil Dimitrov and Stilyan Petkov; bronze: Natalia Marinova.
The second day was dedicated to matches for men and women. Our karateka did follow the example of the juniors and came on top.
The Bulgarians won another three gold and three silver medals as European champions are: Aleksandar Petrov, Yordan Yanev and Genadi Stoev, and vice champions are: Berkdzhan Shen, Ia Kostova and Aleksandar Yordanov. Yordan Yanev also received the cup for best male fighter.
