On April 4th 2015 the city of Stara Zagora, arena “Ivan Vazov”, hosted the 27th International Cup “Vereya” for men, women, boys and girls at junior age – kumite and shaken – shobu – men.
The competition attracted 112 karateka from 24 clubs, competing in a total of 24 categories. Chief referee for this tournament was Asen Asenov and the secretary was Prolet Vasileva. All matches were distributed between 15 referees.
The International Cup “Vereya” is one of the strongest tournaments – true test for all candidates to enter the extended national team both in junior and senior men and women. “Vereya” Cup was awarded to Gabriela Mircheva from SC “Samurai” – Burgas and to Dimitar Dimitrov from SC “Kyokushin” – Shumen. The best referee was Daniela Dineva and interestingly this year’s contest featured Serbian karateka.
