The strong performance of Christian Doychev continues. The Bulgarian Karate Kyokushin National Federation won a silver medal from the prestigious Grand Prix of Japan. Doychev reached second place today in the 85 kg category.
The tournament is one of the most popular internationally and involves teams from all over the world. The Bulgarian team is led by senior coach Sensei Zahari Damyanov and will return to our country on March 3 at 11:25 with a flight from Doha.
Doychev makes a serious request for the 2020s. Last year, he was named the best male athlete by the National Association of Martial Arts in Bulgaria and received one of the five major awards at the annual Golden Belt Ceremony.
His success was well-deserved after winning the European title and winning a silver karate kyokushin medal.
