The national men and women team od the Bulgarian Karate Kyokushin Federation know the names of their competitors on the World Championship. The championship in Nur-Sultan (Kazakhstan) will be held on the 7th and 8th of December. The Kyokushin World Union is the organizer of this event (KWU).
On the tatamis, we would see the overall of 12 national competitors – three within the women and nine within the men.
Gabriela Mircheva started in the category up to 50 kg against Bet Rowlands from the UK. If she wins, she would have the chance to confront a contestant from Russia on the next round. Iya Kostova will be fighting against Merve Sesen from Turkey within the category of 55 kg.
Mariela Lyubenova will miss the first round (60 kg) and will wait for the winner from the competition between Agnes Vestrin (Sweden) – Iria Fernandez (Spain).
Going on with the men category – Within the 60 kg, Dilyan Nikolov will be fighting with Damyak Bilbak from Poland. Berdjak Shen (65 kg) will be competing with Usama Betaleb from Tunis. Andrey Andreev is the upper category and will start against Yerkebulan Beysembayev from Kazakhstan.
Dimitar Dimitrov (75 kg) will be competing with Litha Mtalaysa from South Africa. Georgi Doychev starts against Dani Anglada from Spain. Kristiyan Doychev will be measuring strength with Nikolaos Basmatsidis (Greece) at 80 kg.
Georgi Ivanov’s component Bahman Handani from Iran in the category up to 90 kg. Yordan Miladinov, who is in the upper category, will start his participation against Hektor Munoz from Chile. Within the heaviest 95+ kg, Hristo Georgiev will have competition with Rustam Avzalov from Kazakhstan.
All the Bulgarian fighters did an excellent performance, earlier today. The trainers’ team is in the staff of sensei Zahari Damyanov, sensei Jivko Andreev and sempai Alexandra Marinova.
