Albena Sitnilska won the award “Golden Belt” in the category for the best sportswoman for 2019. She has triumphed with World and European titles in two sports – Taekwondo ITF and kickboxing. The events were organized for the second year and over 40 000 athletes, members of 12 federations of the Asociation, were competing for honors.

Albena’s award was given by another of our World champions – Bulgarian boxing national Stanimira Petrova.

The 23 years old Kristiyan Doychev, who won World title on the European Karate Kyokushin in Portugal and silver medal from the World Championship in Kazakhstan, won the prize for the best sportsman and the “Golden Belt” in the category of men.

Bulgarian Karate Kyokushin Federation chose Kristiyan Doychev for the best sportsman and within the women, Ia Kostova took the honor. Sensei Jivko Andreev was chosen for the best BKKF trainer. The awards were given by Shehan Asen Asenov.

Sensei Zahari Damyanov, the trainer of the national Kyokushin team, gave one of the honors – the one for “Faithfulness to traditions”. The legend from the tatami didn’t hide his admiration for the ceremony in front of the media group “Cherno More”.

Radoslav Penov (Shotokan karate-do) was chosen for the best trainer. Petar Dragoev (ushu) won the prize in the category “Faithfulness to traditions”.

The demonstration of The Bulgarian Karate Kyokushin Federation was one of the most attractive ones, in the frame of the awards and made the crowd stand up.

The kickbox and muay Tai conference choose – Dimitar Penchev, Borislav Radulov, Teodora Kirilova, Albena Sitnilska, and trainer Stanislav Bahchevanov. The statuettes were given by Galin Dimov, president of the Confederation.
Krasen Kralev, the Minister of Youth and Sports, was an honored guest of the ceremony and gave the prize in category “Bright victory”, which was won by the Sambo World champion and has a gold medal from the European games in Minsk, Maria Oryashkova. The sportswoman was on a preparatory camp and the award was given to her teammate in the national team and the bronze medalist Vanya Ivanova.

“It is a great honor for me to be part of the yearly awards “Golden Belt” for the second consecutive year. We are sending off one extremely successful year. The contestants of all the federations, members of the association, they won over 300 medals in all the age categories from European and World Championships, which is a great success. I know that those awards are a stimulus for the young fighters to protect the honor of Bulgaria. All the medals and full halls are the proof of your work”, said minister Kralev and wished the contestants even more successful year.

“I wish you to be healthy, even more enthusiastic, get stronger and continue to glorify our country as you have done so far“, said Kralev.
