The tournaments will be held in Kamchia on July 4th and 5th starting at 10:00 a.m.
Today, 03.07, the international summer camp of the World Kyokushin Union (KWU) and the Bulgarian Karate Kyokushin Federation (BKKF) starts, which meets world fighting legends with over 1200 fighters ready to learn every technique and skill shown to them within an unforgettable and motivating week held from July 2 to 9 in Kamchia.
With the start of the summer battle camp, the registration took place, during which it became clear which are the participants taking part in the KWU Varna World Cup for juniors, girls and cadets and the KWU World Cup for men and women in the open category.
On July 4, at 10:00 a.m., the long-awaited edition of the KWU Varna Cup will be held at the Sports and Rehabilitation Complex in Kamchia, for which nearly 400 fighters from 27 countries have registered. Juniors, girls and cadets will compete for the cup in three age groups – 14-15 years, 16-17 years and 18-21 years. The Bulgarian presence will be strong again, as 72 Bulgarian fighters will appear on the mats.
The champions and prize-winners (1st-3rd place) in the age categories 14-15 years and 16-17 years are awarded with medals and certificates, as well as with cups within due class. In the 18-21 years category, the 1st-4th place finishers will also receive cash prizes.
The next day, on 05.07, the KWU World Cup for men and women in the open category starts again with a start time of 10:00, which makes the tournament even more fascinating and unpredictable. The venue for this event remains the same, with 21 women and 55 men from a total of 25 countries applying. There are 6 Bulgarians who will fight for the World Cup.
The KWU Open World Cup will award winners and prize-winners in the 1st-4th place competition with a medal, cup, certificate and cash prize.

The XVII International Summer Camp is organized by BKKF and KWU, purposely for increasing the skill level of the participants, improving the qualifications of the coaches, and strengthening the friendship between the members of the individual federations that are part of the KWU. During the international camp in Bulgaria, exams are also held to increase the style qualification of competitors and coaches.
Apart from the two tournaments, martial arts fans can also attend the 17th edition of the SENSHI Professional Elite Fight Gala night on July 8th this week, which will feature fighting stars from several continents. It will be held in the city of Varna, on the beach in front of the restaurant “More” in the resort “St. St. Constantine and Elena” with a starting time of 18:00 p.m.
