The Bulgarian Karate Kyokushin Federation organized a three-day seminar for athletes and instructors, that took place in Varna. It was part of the preparation of the Bulgarian national team did for the upcoming international competitions. The team managers gathered an expanded team of fighters, and after the trainings they had to determine the final team, that will participate in the first couple of international events for the year.
Fighters from various clubs in the country joined the camp. They held two trainings a day in one of the halls of the Palace of Culture and Sports in Varna. The classes were led by the coaches: Sensei Zahari Damyanov, Sensei Petar Martinov, Sensei Zhivko Andreev, Sensei Hristo Hristov and Senpai Alexandra Marinova.


At the same time, an instructors training was held. Leading master lecturers were Shihan Asen Assenov, Shihan Tihomir Atanasov and Sensei Stoyan Dimov. The instructors’ training included yaydo – training with a sword, kihon, working in kyokushin pairs, and working with gloves according to SENSHI regulations.
