The Bulgarian anthem was played at the kyokushin championship at Habarovsk (Russia).
Stanislava Boycheva brought the BKKF a title from the KWU world championship.
The Russian city of Habarovsk is hosting the KWU World Championship (by categories) in kyokushin. After the first day (Saturday) we had medalists as three of our karateka reached the finals.
Stanislava Boycheva (55 kg) from the team of the Bulgarian Karate Kyokushin Federation snatched the title as she overcame her Russian opponent in the regular time with an amazing performance and 5:0 votes from the referees. At the semifinal she met Violeta Litovksa (shinkyokushin).
Aleksandar Komanov (85 kg) of the BKKF took the second place after a strong fight, but a lack of chance when it came to the referee’s decision.
Georgi Lotarov (70 kg, shinkyokushin) is also a vice-champion.
Bronze medals was the order of the day for Hristo Georgiev (+95 kg) and Deyan Bratkov (75 kg) from th3 Bulgarian Karate Kyokushin Federation and Violeta Litovska (55 kg, shinkyokushin). Mihaela Ivanova (65 kg, BKKF) had her chance to break through. She was facing the world champion and made her run for her money (all of the overtime was used), but she could not eliminate her.

The championship was very strong – we saw participants from all over the word.
