On January 25-26, 2025, the Sports Club “Kyokushin” in Shumen hosted intensive joint sparring training sessions, bringing together five clubs from the BKKF: “Nihonto” and “Zanshin” (Varna), “Yunak” (Ruse), and “Nadezhda” (Gabrovo). The event provided a valuable opportunity for experience exchange and the development of combat skills for both athletes and coaches.
Over the two days, karatekas engaged in diverse sparring sessions focused on techniques, tactics, and endurance. Special attention was given to fight scenarios and adaptation strategies during combat. Participants had the chance to test their skills against opponents with different fighting styles and approaches, contributing to their overall preparation.
The sports calendar for BKKF karatekas kicks off on March 16 with the National Championship for juniors (senior age group), men, and women. Once again, Sports Club “Kyokushin” in Shumen will host the competition, providing their dojo for a referee seminar scheduled for March 14-15.
We wish our athletes, coaches, and referees productive training and success in both national and international events throughout 2025!
