In a few minutes we will jump straight in the final matches of the World Championship of Karate Kyokushin, which is held at the Palace of Culture and sports in Varna. The Bulgarian team has a finalist in the face of Miglen Dimitrov (14/15 years old, +65 kg). The ultimate battle, which will name the next world champion is between him and the Russian Sergey Ivannikov. The action resumes at 14:00 hours.

Meanwhile, Bulgaria has already three certain bronze medals from the World Championship. In the 12-13-years old, 40 kg, Ivon Teneva won the medal, and in 45 kg the bronze will go to Teodora Popova. From the juniors at this World Championship in Varna the bronze will go to Vasil Dimitrov. He will get the medal in 16/17 years old, +75 kg.

After the action is over we will head for the official awarding ceremony. It is expected that it starts at 15:00 hours at the Palace of Culture and sports in Varna.

In parallel to the juniors, at the tatamis we can already start enjoying the European Championship for men, women and veterans. It is today, that we will see which veterans are №1 in Europe. From Bulgaria we have Milen Petrov (cat. 40-44 years old) and Teodor Burov (cat. 45+ years old).

For the first time Bulgaria hosts two of the largest competitions in karate kyokushin in the world – second European Championship for men, women and veterans and the sixth Open World Championship for juniors. Over 1000 competitors from 32 states will fight for the prizes and golden cups at the Palace of Culture and sports in Varna. The action has begun on December 7th and will end on December 9th. Entry is free of charge.
