The KWU European Championship for Juniors in Berlin /16.03 – 18.03/ was attended by over 550 contestants from 24 countries and the karateka of the Bulgarian Karate Kyokushin Federation won a grand total of 13 medals.

The competitor of the Bulgarian Karate Kyokushin Federation (BKKF) and disciple of “Kyokushin” Shumen Lyubomira Nikolova became the European Karate Champion in the category female up to 60 kg.

Special prizes for the “highest fighting spirit” were awarded to the disciple of CS “Samurai” Burgas Kristian Stankov and the representative of SKC “Kyokushin” – Shumen, Lyubomira Nikolova.

Before heading to the German capital, coaches sensei Zhivko Andreev and sensei Milush Draganov commented that they expect our team to come back with a lot of medals.

“Our karateka underwent heavy training and are in great shape giving us high hopes of excellent performance and triumphal return to Bulgaria”, shared sensei Andreev.

He explained further that all karateka from the BKKF have passed weigh-in and will participate in the championship.
