It is just a few days before the opening of one of the most important events in Bulgaria’s kyokushin calendar – the kyokushin karate training camp in Kamchia. It starts on July 2nd, will last an entire week, and is expected to bring together more than 1200 people – fighters, coaches and referees. It is hosted by the Bulgarian Karate Kyokushin Federation and the (Kyokushin World Union)
Except all the training sessions, the big surprise this year is the Grand Prix championship event within the camp duration – on July 5th. This event is organized for the first time and will put professional karate kyokushin opponents from Bulgaria, Russia and Japan in two separate matchups. Especially for this event we will welcome a Russian delegation, headed by one of the all-time best kyokushin fighters in Russia – Alexandr Ivanovich Tanushkin.
The other most spectacular moment during the camp will be the fights for the tournament Varna Cup 2017 on July 7th. The medals and championships will be disputed by karateka between 18 and 21 years old.
