10 medals and one championship title – this is the summary of our national team’s participation in the open competition of Japan “All Japan”, which took place this weekend. Angel Vetsov won the gold in men’s category and Stilyan Petkov and Dimitar Dimitrov fought their way to the silver medals in the same category. Vasil Dimitrov and Mirela Lyubenova received silver medals in junior category.
Our competitors also won 5 bronze medals as follows: Georgi Ivanov /men/, Krasimira Mireva /women/, Valeria Lozanova, Viktoria Naskova /junior women/ and Ivan Popov /junior men/.
Out of all 15 contestants who appeared on the tatami a total of 10 will be back in Bulgaria holding medals, which is a sensational performance both for them and for us – the fans of kyokushin karate! Our team was accompanied by the national coaches sensei Zahari Damyanov, sensei Zhivko Andreev and sensei Stanislava Boycheva.
