The Bulgarian Kristiyan Doychev won silver honor from the Kyokushin World Championship, which was held in Kazakhstan.
The national of the Bulgarian Karate Kyokushin Federation lost the final fight, within the 85kg category, from the hosts’representative Vladimir Artyushin.
The competitor of SC “Kyokushin”, Yambol, showed enviable defensive skills and relied on his counterattack. Unfortunately, this didn’t impress the judges, which ruled unanimously in favor of the Kazakh karateka.
This was the second medal for Bulgaria from the tournament. The brother of Kristiyan – Georgi Doychev (- 80kg) took the bronze medal from the competition in Nur-Sultan.
