On 13 April, the “Vladislav Varnenchik” Sports Complex in Varna hosted a very exciting National Kyokushin Karate Championship for children up to 12 and up to 14 years. The event brought together 202 competitors from 30 clubs representing the Bulgarian Karate Kyokushin Federation (BKKF), who competed in the Kumite discipline in 21 different categories.
This day was a special celebration for Shaban Shaban from SC “Ikigai” Burgas, who won the first place in the 60+ category in 14-year-olds division and celebrated his birthday. Darina Doynova from SC “Katana” Veliko Tarnovo won in the most numerous category for girls 50+ kg. where there were 21 participants.
In addition, four special prizes were awarded to the Most Technical Competitor in the Girls’ category, Nevena Hadzhizlateva from SC “Dragon”, Aitos and Vasil Kisov from SC “Nihonto”, Varna in the boys division. The young karatekas with High Fighting Spirit who deserved the prizes are Darina Doynova from SC “Katana”, Veliko Tarnovo and Ilia Topal from SC “Sentoki”, Burgas.
The National Championship in Varna was not only a competition, but also a celebration of sport, uniting children in a fun and intense battle for achievement and friendship.
