It is the second consecutive year, in which he Bulgarian Karate Kyokushin Federation honored its most distinct karateka and coaches. The event took place on the 16th of January at 17:00 hours at the modern Hotel & Spa “Azalea”, located at the sea shore in the resort “St. St. Konstantin and Elena”. The event was attended by well known current, future and ex-champions.
A total of 26 talented Bulgarian sportsmen who served the glory of the hardest karate style, received plaque and certificate for their 171 achievements in various tournaments and states around the world. The karateka and were also awarded with sports titles.
The highest recognition of “Honorable Karate Master” went to Stanislava Boycheva who won 1st place at the World Championship in Habarovsk, Russia and 2nd place at the European Championship in Berlin, Germany and Dean Bratkov and Hristo Georgiev who both won the third place at the World Championship in Habarovsk, Russia.
The honorable mention “Karate Master” was awarded to: Georgi Doychev, Aleksandar Petrov, Genadi Stoev, Ia Kostova, Aleksandar Yordanov, Mitko Yanev, Mihaela Ivanova, Dilyan Nikolov, Berkdzhan Shen and Andrei Andreev. They all fought their way to the top three prizes in the European Championships in Berlin and Estonia.
The names of the young talents, who were honored with the title “Candidate Karate Master”, are: Ivaylo Marinov, Valentin Valchanov, Ivan Popov, Sara Ivanova, Alex Valev, Stilyan Petkov, Lyubomira Nikolova, Natalia Marinova, Vasil Dimitrov and Senay Hasan. They put an outstanding performance at numerous international forums, such as the European Championship of Estonia or the Open Championship of Russia.
Three of the BKKF coaches, who work on the development of this martial art to an international level, received a certificate “Honorable Coach” – namely Zhivko Andreev and Ivan Ivanov from SC “Samurai” – cit of Burgas and Dragan Draganov from SC “Champion” – town of Parvomai.
These prizes are a testament to the dedication of the karateka to achieve and outdo their best performance. May they continue their noble deed of giving glory to Bulgaria in 2016 by improving on their best performances.
