On February 19th in the city of Shumen, under the experienced supervision of sensei Nikolay Rachev, the coaching seminar, attended by over 50 people – coaches, referees and club heads, began.
The training was oriented towards the fundamental techniques, kata and combinations, which will go in the upcoming exams of dan in the month of March.
The assistant instructors were sensei Rositsa Petrova and sensei Radoslav Hristov.

During the next day, sensei Andreyan Ivanov – head of the Referee Committee at the BKKF and sensei Nikolay Rachev – national representative of Bulgaria at the Kyokushin World Federation, led a theory and practice referee seminar, which ended with an exam. Tests were divided into 2 categories – for novice applicant – referees and for more experienced referees. After that there was the practical exam, during which the referees saw real fighting situations, in which they had to make the call, name the winner and give their reason why.
The karateka of the SC “Kyokushin” – city of Shumen under the supervision of sensei Stanislav Dimitrov participated as assistants in the referee exam by joining the sparrings, which helped recreate real competition situations.
The seminar ended with a training session of shaken – shobu with sensei Nikolay Rachev. The session touched on the fundamental points of reference during competition preparation, as well as on its timing.
The seminar was more than useful for the evaluation of contestants.

The sports calendar of the BKKF continues with the National Championship for junior men and women, which will be held on the 27th of February 2016 in the city of Ruse, as well as with the European Championship for junior men and women in Berlin Germany on the 19.03.2016.
