The Kyokushin World Union (KWU) and the Bulgarian Karate Kyokushin Federation (BKKF) are giving an official press conference with the leaders of international karate kyokushin federations concerning the upcoming start of the European and World Championships of the martial art, which are set for the 7th to the 9th of December at the palace of Culture and Sport in Varna.

The location of the press conference is December 6th, 11 o’clock at hotel “Astor Garden”, St. St. Konstantin and Elena. There one could hear some of the greatest names in karate kyokushin:

– Kancho Hatsuo Royama, IX dan – Co-Chairman of Kyokushin World Union (KWU) and President of Kyokushin-kan International Karate Organizaton. He is one of the very few disciples of the kyokushin creator Mas Oyama;

– Shihan Akio Koyama, VIII dan – President of the international organisation Kyokushin-kan International Honbu;

– Shihan Antonio Pineiro, IX dan – President of the Kyokushin World Federation (KWF);

– Shihan Andrzej Drewniak, IX dan – Secretary General of Kyokushin World Federation (KWF);

– Shihan David Pickthall, VII dan – Vice – president of the International Federation of Karate (IFK);

– Shihan Ramil Gabbasov, V dan – Member of the Board of Directors of the KWU and Chairman of the Russian Martial Arts Union (RMAU);

– Shihan Asen Asenov, V dan – Member of the Administrative Board of the BKKF;

– Shihan Hristo Traykov, VII dan – Vice – president and Member of the AB of KWF;

– Sensei Tihomir Atanasov, IV dan – Member of the AB of the BKKF;

– Sensei Stoyan Dimov, IV dan – Executive Director of the BKKF.

The press conference will be led by Aleksandr Pitchkounov – Secretary General of the Kyokushin Wold Union (KWU). During this event the coaches Sensei Zahari Damyanov, Sensei Stanislava Boycheva and Sensei Zhivko Andreev will be able to announce their expectations of the upcoming tournaments.

There is a translator from Russian and English. Journalists could also use transport from the Palace of Culture and Sport in Varna to Hotel “Astor Garden” and vice versa. The bus departs at 10:30 from the Palace of Culture and Sport.
