The National Team of the Bulgarian Karate Kyokushin Federation has 3 titles, 1 silver medal and 6 bronze medals, all topped with the 3rd place in the team chart.

With a ton of medals – that is how the World Championship in Russia went for our “lions”. The champions of the BKKF are: Monika Dimitrova (“Samurai”, Burgas, 50 kg – girls), Donika Zhelyazkova (“Aksen”, Stara Zagora, over 65 kg) and Valentin Valchanov (“Samurai”, Burgas , up to 65 kg). Silver medal for Senai Hasan (“Kyokushin”, Shumen, category up to 45 kg). Bronze medalists: Martina Hazhiiska (Samokov, category up to 55 kg), Maria Chepilova (Samokov, over 60 kg), Gabriela Mircheva (“Samurai”, Burgas  up to 50 kg), Stilyan Petkov (“Ipon”, Ruse, up to 60 kg), Lyubomira Nikolaeva (“Kyokushin”, Shumen, up to 60 kg) and Ivaylo Marinov (“Samurai”, Burgas, 65 kg).

The other karateka of our team sadly did not win any medals announced sensei Prolet Vasileva, the secretary general of the BKKF> The 10 medals, however, got Bulgaria the 3rd place in the team chart at the Russian kyokushin open.
