During the annual awards “Sportsman of the Year” 2015 Bulgaria honored its best athletes.

The karateka of the Bulgarian Karate Kyokushin Federation earned admirable mentions because of their high achievements.

6 Bulgarian cities with 11 karateka of the BKKF placed in the Top 10 Sportsmen of the year 2015 – these are Varna, Burgas, Gabrovo, Pavlikeni, Shumen and Yambol. The coaches were honored with prizes as well.

One of the very best karateka of the BKKF – the world champion Stanislava Boycheva rightfully won the second prize of “Sportsman of the city of Burgas”.

Yambol’s top sportsman is the karateka Georgi Doychev. He received this high recognition in his hometown after his success at the European and World championships.

At the “Sportsman of Gabrovo” annual awards, the sports club “Nadezhda – Gabrovo” produced three nominees with considerable achievements during the past year. All of them reached the top 10 spots for sportsman of Gabrovo. Their names are as follows: Alex Valev – 9th in junior category, Valeria Lozanova – 2nd in junior category abd Hristo Velichkov Hristov – 3rd in men and women category.

At the awarding ceremony of the 10 best sportsman of Shumen, which was held at city’s “Youth Centre” one could spot three karateka from the local club “Kyokushin” – Shumen. In the overall chart Dimitar Dimitrov placed third, Lyubomira Nikolova is fifth and the eighth place was reserved for Natalia Marinova. The “Perspective Sportsman” category gave recognition to Stefan Kesarovski and Marcelo Anatoliev – also members of the local club.

For second year in a roll, a competitor from SC “Kyokushin” – town of Pavlikeni wins the top prize at these prestigious awards. This time the prize “Sportsman of the year” went to Yoana Krilova from SC “Kyokushin” – town of Pavkikeni. The second place as “Coach of the year” was given to Boyan Angelov.

At the awarding ceremony “Spotsman of Varna” for 2015 we saw Alexandar Petrov from kyokushin karate sports club “TIM” who became the European champion in Estonia in category up to 75 kg and Yordan Yanev from the same club who won third European Title in a roll in men’s heavy category. Prolet Vasileva is the coach of both karateka.
