This time, however he will be the coach, not the karateka. Our fighters will face their opponents aiming for the KWF World Championship, which will be held on March 25th and 26th in Tokyo. This competition is a test for the accent in this year’s calendar – the KWU World Cup on the 25th and 26th of November, also in Tokyo, Japan.

“”The Bulgarian team has 15 karateka – 5 women and 10 men. The competition will gather some of the greatest karateka in the World. Even though it will be a heavily contested event, I believe that our representatives will come through. I hope to bring the gold to Bulgaria”, commented Zahari Damyanov, whom exactly in Japan became the first Bulgarian and European contestant to ever win the heaviest and most prestigious karate competition – the World Cup with no categories.
